Artist Profiles: Judy Meier
As a former president of the International Dollmakers
Association, Judy is one of the most highly visable members
of the organization. From informative series in Doll Crafter
Magazine to authoring many books on Dollmaking, Judy also
teaches DAG seminars all over the world.
Judy began doll making some years ago when no one had any
answers and few people were making dolls. She taught
herself by trial and error. She remarks, “Somehow, I became
the teacher without ever being the student!”
Judy is an eclectric doll collector, including several antique
dolls as well as modern collectables. She serves as a judge
and teaches juding workshops.
