	Learn the basics of throwing pots on the wheel. Repeated demonstrations show you how to center and throw a small bowl, cylinder and plate. One to three pounds of clay are used in this video.

	Learn how to center and throw such shapes as mugs, vases, pitchers and lidded jars. In addition, wedging, trimming, application of handles and carving are shown. One to five pounds of clay are used.
p3	Flat Pieces	80 min.
	Learn techniques to center and throw plates, platters and low bowls using a variety of rim styles and shapes. Wedging, trimming, application of handles and simple carving is shown. 1 to 7 pounds of clay is used here.
p4	Bowls, Covers & Handles	90 min.
	Learn the process of centering and throwing different sizes and shapes of bowls and casseroles. Wedging, lid-making, measuring and fitting, pulling and applying handles is also included. 1 to 3 lbs is used.

	Explanation and demonstration of basic glazing techniques, preparing your bisque for glazing, waxing, dipping, pouring glaze into a vessel, overlapping glaze, applying designs, wax resist and underglazing.

	This video covers non-wheel throwing options for the potter. Learn draped slab forms with impressed and altered decoration, handbuilding techniques with applied clay decoration, altered wheel thrown pieces with scaffito and simple slab free form bowls without a slab roller.

Berhorst discussed the tools of the trade, and guides viewers through the steps of wedging the clay, centering smaller and l arger wedges on the wheel, and creating the basic shapes of a cylinder, bowl and plate.
